Gladys L. Borchers

Services for Mrs. Gladys L. Borchers, 75, were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday from East Friesland Presbyterian Church with Rev. David V. Dupee officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Borchers died Friday at Iowa Falls Care Center.

Gladys L. Borchers was born February 28, 1906, north of Ackley, the daughter of William A. and Minnie Sietsema Wolf. She and Peter Borchers were married at Ackley Feb. 2, 1928. They farmed near Ackley and she continued to farm after his death in 1940 until retiring and moving to Iowa Falls in 1970. Mrs. Borchers was a member of East Friesland Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two sons, Albert of Iowa Falls and Russell of Waterloo; a daughter, Minnie Arlene Ghoske of Iowa Falls; two grandchildren; three brothers and a sister. Mrs. Borchers was preceded in death by her husband in 1940, and a sister.
