Mrs. J. Lindaman Dies In Hospital Of Heart Condition

Funeral services for Mrs. John J. Lindaman were held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Doyen Funeral Home and at 1:30 p.m. at the East Friesland Presbyterian Church.

The Rev. Kenneth Remer was officiating clergyman. Mrs. Leonard Oelmann and Mrs. Ronald Fisher sang two duet numbers. Miss Janice Jaspers was organist. Mrs. Reka Gronewold and Mrs. Lee Etjen were flower attendants.

Pall bearers were Richard Ross, Lee Etjen, Roger Hippen, Abe deNeui, Gratus Geerdes and Arnold Arends.

Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mrs. Lindaman passed away at 3:15 Friday morning at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo due to complications following a heart attack.

She had entered the hospital on Tuesday March 4th for treatment. She reached the age of 73 years, 7 months and 24 days.

She was born on a farm in Butler County northeast of Ackley on July 20, 1895, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Finger (nee Peterja Zwagerman). She attended the rural school in the area. On February 10, 1921 she was united in marriage to John J. Lindaman. Following their marriage they lived on a farm northwest of Wellsburg after which they lived on several farms in the area. They retired from the farm in March of 1960 and moved to Wellsburg.

Mrs. Lindaman was a long time member of the Eastfriesland Presbyterian Church.

Those left to mourn her passing are her husband John; 2 sons and 1 daughter: Delbert J. Lindaman of Wellsburg, Lloyd Lindaman of Iowa Falls, (Darlene) Mrs. Glen Arends of Parkersburg; 9 grandchildren; 3 sisters and 4 brothers: Mrs. Rose VanEschen of Ackley, Edd Finger of Aplington, Mrs. Maggie Kannegieter of Aplington, Dick Finger of Ackley, Henry Finger of Ackley, Peter Finger of Dubuque, (Anna) Mrs. Herman DeVries of Wellsburg and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother.
