Died in St. Thomas Hospital at Marshalltown; Born in Grundy

Mrs. August Trittien, nee Bunjer, was born August 23, 1878 in German township, Grundy county. She passed away Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in the hospital at Marshalltown. Her age being 58 years, 2 months and 6 days. In the year 1902 she was married to August Trittien. This union was blessed with six children, one child dying in infancy. She is survived by her husband, three sons, Dick, Joe and Henry, of Steamboat Rock; and two daughters, Mrs. Anna Elsig and Mrs. Helen Marunn, of Eldora, and ten grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, John, of Lennox, S. Dak., and two sisters, Mrs. Matilda Sinning and Mrs. U. Beving of Ackley, Ia., and many other relatives and friends. She was a loving and faithful mother, a quiet Christian woman who trusted in the Lord.

Funeral services were held Monday Nov. 2, at the Presbyterian church in Steamboat Rock, of which she was a member, with Rev. F. Zissler officiating.
