Richard Lindaman, Pioneer Wellsburg Resident, Is Dead

Richard J. Lindaman, 91, pioneer resident of Wellsburg, passed away Saturday evening, January 4 at the Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo following surgery.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Eastfriesland Presbyterian church south of Ackley with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Richard Miller of Ackley officiated at the service. Arrangements were in charge of the Engelkes Funeral Home at Parkersburg.

Mr. Lindaman was born February 18, 1877, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lindaman of Grundy County. He was united in marriage to Tillie Hickman in 1900. The family farmed in German township until 1945 when they moved into Wellsburg.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1963, his parents, five brothers and one sister.

Surviving are three sons, John R. Lindaman, Ackley, Fred, Waterloo, and Delbert, Wellsburg, one daughter, Mrs. Joe Cobie of Ackley; and one brother, Frank of Aplington.
