Mrs. Henry Ackerman Died Saturday

Mrs. Henry Ackerman who has been an invalid for the past twenty odd years, died last Saturday night about 10 o'clock. Mrs. Ackerman was born in Germany and was about 50 years of age at the time of her death. Her maiden name was Rekadena Johnson. She leaves a husband, and sister, Mrs. Ben Westendorf of Allison. An only son, Henry, died about two years ago.

Her illness was of many years duration, but within the past few weeks she gradually wasted away, till she was so frail that moving her from place to place by the nurse, seemed like moving a child.

The funeral was held Thursday at 12 o'clock at the home and at 1 o'clock at the Engelkes church. Interment was made at the Engelkes churchyard.

The attendance at the funeral was large, as the Ackerman family is a highly respected one and is connected with many of the old families of this section.
