Cedar Falls--Services for Lester G. Lutz, 74, of 115 E. 21st St., will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Nazareth Lutheran Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

He died Monday morning at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 30, 1910, near Wellsburg, son of Frank and Bessie Egybroad Lutz. He married Ivadean Haack Sept. 6, 1931, at Wellsburg.

He owned and operated a grocery store in the Parkersburg and Aplington areas for many years. In 1954, he moved to Cedar Falls and worked at Rich's Grocery Store for some years before his retirement.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Bonnie Turner of Hudson, Debbie Carney of Arvada, Colo., and Vickie Robinson of Villisca; a sister, Opal Cone of Grundy Center; and nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday and until 11 a.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and for an hour before services at the church.

Memorials may be made to Nazareth Lutheran Church.
