Services Held For Lloyd Gronewald

Lloyd H. Gronewald, 83, passed away Tuesday, December 11, at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

Services were held Saturday, December 15, at the Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center, with burial in Vienna Cemetery in rural Beaman. Pastor Robert Shreve officiated.

Pallbearers were Larry Gronewald, Roger Arends, Leland Arends, Vernon Meints, Richard Ross and Verne Eberline.

Lloyd grew up and attended school in the Wellsburg area. After graduating, he moved to California where he was employed by the Department of Motor Vehicles. In 1955, he moved to St. Paul where he worked for the State of Minnesota, retiring at the age of 67. He then worked as a security guard for 10 years at 3M in Stillwater, MN.

Mr. Gronewald was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and two brothers.

He is survived by seven nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund has been established.

The Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center was in charge of arrangements.
