Margaret Johnson Services Are Held

Margaret E. Johnson of Iowa Falls passed away December 16 at her home of natural causes. Services were held Monday, December 19, at Iowa Falls, with burial at the Alden Cemetery.

Margaret Johnson was born November 9, 1907, in Wellsburg, Iowa, to Thomas and Sophie Beecroft. She grew up in Wellsburg and attended the local public school. She graduated with the Class of 1924. After her graduation she worked in the Wellsburg Post Office until 1936, after which she went to Iowa Falls and was secretary and bookkeeper for Weber & Kinsey Chevrolet.

On July 6, 1952, she was united in marriage to Ralph Johnson and moved to the farm west of Alden. She was a Charter member of the Christian Reformed Church of Iowa Falls and of the Golden Hour Circle. After Ralph retired from farming in 1981, they moved to Iowa Falls where they resided at 2020 Linden Avenue at the present time.

Survivors include her husband Ralph; and three sisters: Ordie Beecroft and Mrs. Junice Groote, both of Wellsburg and Doris Aiken of Modesto, California. She was preceded in death by a sister Mary Beecroft and two brothers, Clarence and Theodore.
