Word has been received here within the past few hours that Chas. Coffin, a former well known citizen of this place, is lying at the point of death in a hospital at Aberdeen, S.D., and relatives here have been telegraphed to come at once as his death is hourly expected. He was recently operated upon for bladder trouble of long standing and from all reports his trouble was too far advanced to get relief from an operation. Mr. Coffin only moved from here to Gettysburg, S.D., last March and the family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends here in their affliction.
