Bert Guy Strickler was born in Melrose township, Grundy county, Iowa, October 11, 1825[sic], and died at his home in Conrad on Feb. 13th, 1919. He leaves to mourn their loss, his parents, Mrs. and Mr. B. J. Strickler, a brother, Harvey, and sister, Clara, all of Conrad.

The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Elwich, assisted by Rev. J. W. Primrose, from the Methodist Church. The remains were laid to rest in the Alice cemetery.
