Funeral services were held Friday afternoon in the Morrison church for Lem Moyers long time resident of Morrison. He was born June 30, 1873, in Franklin county, Ill., and married Gertrude Snow February 21, 1903, in Illinois. The Moyers moved to Morrison in 1903 where he continued to live until two years ago when he suffered a stroke and was taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ruth Keeno, in Chicago, where he passed away on Wednesday. After the death of his wife several years ago he continued to live in the home here with his son Bill. Burial was made beside his wife in the Washington Township cemetery. He leaves five children, William, here in Morrison, Mrs. Ruth Keeno, Chicago, Melvin, Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Eurie Raisty, South Gate, Calif., and Alan in the U.S. Government employ.
