Reinbeck Woman Stricken While Working in Garden
Mrs. Raymond Hoeg was stricken with coronary thrombosis while working in the garden on the Alfon Strohbehn farm, southeast of Reinbeck. She died within an hour after she was stricken. She was 34 years old.
Funeral services were at the Congregational church in Reinbeck Saturday afternoon. Burial was in the Reinbeck cemetery.
Mrs. Hoeg was born Barbara Sager, the daughter of William and Emma Sager, Dec. 10, 1919, at Freelandville, Indiana. In 1935 she came to Reinbeck, where her brothers had located and obtained employment. She was married in October 1937 to Raymond Hoeg of Reinbeck.
For the past seven years the couple have farmed. To them were born three children. She was one of a family of nine children.
Surviving besides the husband, are one daughter, Ruthie Jean, 15; Raymond Jr., 9; her mother, Mrs. Emma Sager, Ind.; two brothers, Nels, of Reinbeck and William of Indiana; three sisters, Mrs. George Lucas, Ind.; Mrs. Sandy Spiers, Traer; Mrs. Lyman Juhl, Reinbeck. She was preceded by her father, one son Roger, two brothers.
