Kenneth Roberts Dies After Long Illness

Kenneth Roberts from Reinbeck died last Wednesday evening at the Grundy Memorial Hospital. Cancer, with which he had been afflicted for two years, was the cause of his death. He was 47 years old.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. E. Ward, were held Friday afternoon at the United Presbyterian church in Reinbeck. Burial was in the Reinbeck cemetery.

Kenneth Roberts was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Roberts. He was born on a farm north of Reinbeck March 30th, 1906 and he grew up there. He was an active worker in the Grundy County Farm Bureau and for several years he served as township PMA committeeman.

Surviving are his wife and two children, Mary Lucille, 16, and Donald Wilson, age 14. Other surviving members of his family are his mother; three brothers, Leland of Reinbeck, David and Russell who are farming near Morrison; four sisters, Miss Jean Roberts, Reinbeck, Mrs. Carol Fleming, Reinbeck, Mrs. Mary Lou Bowen, Morrison and Mrs. Ruth Kray of Vinton. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Allan and one sister, Marjorie.
