ACKLEY - Gertrude "Gert" Borchers, 81, of Ackley, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born June 14, 1925, daughter of Treno and Jennie Hinders Evers. She married Albert Borchers on Sept. 9, 1970, at First Presbyterian Church in Waterloo.

Mrs. Borchers and her husband farmed.

Survivors include: her husband; a sister, Ann Borchers of Waterloo; and a brother, Treno (Eunice) Evers of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Clarence and John Evers; and a brother-in-law, Russ Borchers.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday at East Friesland Presbyterian Church, Ackley, with burial in the church cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Sietsema Funeral Home, Ackley.
