Alene Berg, 70, of Ackley, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at her home. The family will host a gathering and time of remembrance at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Ackley City Park. Woodley Funeral Home, LLC of Iowa Falls assisted the family with cremation care.

Alene Marie Berg was born on November 12, 1946 in Hackensack, New Jersey to Albert and Pauline (Wood) McBride. She graduated from West High School in Waterloo, Iowa. On November 21, 1964 she married Donald Berg. Alene drove semi for Warren Transportation for 23 years. She enjoyed making wedding cakes and sewing but most of all spending time with family.

Alene Berg is survived by her son, Paul Berg of Eldora, Iowa; a daughter, Angela (Flubio) Berg of Ackley, Iowa; grandchildren: Dessa (Jason) Lawless, Matthew Berg, Robert Berg, Brian Berg and Brandy (Nick) McCulley. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Albert Berg and sister, Sam McBride.
