ACKLEY - Donald Edward Berg, 66, of Ackley, died Monday, Feb. 27, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls.

He was born July 22, 1939, in Plymouth, Wis., son of Alton and Dorothy Stewart Berg. On Nov. 21, 1964, he married Alene McBride in Waterloo.

Mr. Berg and his wife operated the Martin Station in Waterloo for over 15 years. After moving to Ackley, he was employed with Warren Transport of Waterloo.

Survivors include: his wife; two sons, Albert of Waterloo and Paul (Dianna) of Ackley; a daughter, Angela Berg of Ackley; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, James (Elaine) of Westfield, Wis., Alton "Butch" Jr. (Janice) of Cascade, Wis., and Bruce (Debra) of Fond du Lac, Wis.; and five sisters, Patricia Goetch and Dawn (Kenneth) Liebergen, both of Sheyboygan, Wis., Waunita (Ronald) Hausler and Delores "Dee Dee" (Donald) Schelk, both of Plymouth, and Jane Payne of Adell, Wis.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Sietsema Funeral Home, with burial in West Friesland Cemetery, both in Ackley. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
