Heather Michelle Crotty

Heather Michelle Crotty was born on November 17, 1970 to Marlys Kuper (Crotty) Wessels and Keith Crotty at Franklin County General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa.

Heather attended Ackley-Geneva Schools and graduated in 1990. While attending school, Heather worked at the Wee Care Center, The Presbyterian Home and she enjoyed babysitting. She participated in bowling and was on the State Bowling Team her sophomore year. After graduation Heather continued to do volunteer work at the Presbyterian Home and she continued to bowl on a league.

Heather passed away in her home on May 11, 1992, of a brain tumor. She is survived by her mother and step-father Marlys and Jack Wessels; her sister and brother-in-law Kelli and Kevin Meyer; her sister Kristi Crotty; her brother TJ Crotty; 2 step-sisters Jodi and Jami Wessels; one niece Tarah Meyer; two nephews Trent Meyer and Cody (Wessels) Simpson; her maternal grandmother Leola Kuper and grandmother Dorothy Wessels, all of Ackley.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Folkert M. Kuper.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 13 at 10 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ with Rev. Charles Kurtz officiating. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery. The Brandt-Fritz Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
