Services Slated Thursday For Oscar Lechner

Oscar A. Lechner, age 68, of RR4, Cedar Falls, passed away Tuesday morning, September 20, 1983 at Sartori Hospital, Cedar Falls.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22 at 1:30 p.m. at Nazareth Lutheran Church with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Cedar Falls.

Mr. Lechner was born June 23, 1915 in Grundy county, rural Cedar Falls. He was the son of J. William and Hermine Behrens Lechner. On November 23, 1940 in Cedar Falls he was united in marriage to Mildred E. Poock.

He is survived by his wife; one son, David of New Hartford; one daughter, Shirley A. Merner of Cedar Falls; one grandson, and one sister, Leona Pedersen of Cedar Falls.

Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home of Cedar Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
