Arlene J. Draper, 67

Arlene J. Draper, 67, of rural Grundy Center, died October 17 at University Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral services were October 20 at Ivester Church of the Brethren. Burial was in the Sheller Cemetery. A memorial fund is being established.

Arlene was born September 21, 1937, the daughter of Merle and Frances (Newell) Kirkdorffer. Arlene graduated from Eldora High School in 1955. On September 23, 1955, she was united in marriage to Lloyd E. Draper at the Ivester Church of the Brethren. Her working life included over 20 years as a secretary at United Suppliers of Eldora, retiring in 1999. She was a member of the Ivester Church of the Brethren.

Survivors include her husband, Lloyd of Grundy Center; a son, Michael (Nancy) Draper of Eldora; a daughter, Lori Draper of Altoona; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Wanda (Wayne) Damrow of Janesville, WI; and a brother, Marlin (Mary Lou) Kirkdorffer of Eldora.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
