Death Enters Siefken Home Again

Death for the second time in five weeks entered the home of John Siefken. Johnnie the 8-year-old son of Mr. Siefken died in St. Louis on the evening of October 31st. Diphtheria was the cause of his death. He was sick only a few days. The remains were sent to the home here and they arrived on last Saturday noon. Funeral services conducted by Dr. J. E. Drake were held Saturday afternoon. Interment was made in the family lot in the Drake church cemetery.

Mrs. Siefken has been at St. Louis several months to be with the little girl who is receiving treatment there. Johnnie went with them and was attending school in St. Louis when he was stricken with the deadly disease. The little girl also became afflicted with diphtheria, but anti-toxin helped to save her life.

The sympathy of the large number of friends of the Siefken family goes out to them in the double bereavement that has come to them with the past few weeks.
