Dick Meyer Dead

Dick Meyer died at his home three miles west of Grundy Center about nine o'clock Monday forenoon as a result of a stroke of apoplexy. He suffered the first stroke last August and a second stroke came in December. He recovered from both but they left him in a weakened condition. The third and final stroke came last Friday forenoon as he was taking lunch into the field.

Funeral services will be held at Drake church on Friday.

Mr. Meyer was born in this county nearly forty-eight years ago and he resided here continually up to the time of his death. His father was the late Marcus P. Meyer. The deceased is survived by a wife and five children. Three of the children are girls and two are boys. All but one who is married, reside at home.
