Mrs. Geo. Groenewold Dead

Mrs. George Groenwold died very suddenly at her home Saturday morning of hemorrhage of the brain. Mrs. Groenwold had gotten up but did not feel well and returned to her bed while Mr. Groenwold went to telephone his son living northwest of town. When he returned he found death had stolen her life away. She had been apparently well up until Saturday morning. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Drake at the Drake church on Monday.

Mrs. Groewold, nee Jahnsen, was born in Germany Nov. 10, 1826 and came to this country in 1866, locating in Illinois. Five years later they moved to Grundy county, where they have since made their home. She was united in marriage to Mr. Groenwold in the year 1845, four children being born to them, all of whom attended the funeral. Henry Groenwold near Holland, John residing near Sibley, Iowa, Mrs. Geo. Kramer and Mrs. Otto Reinders residing near Lennox, S.D. Mr. and Mrs. Groenwold moved to Holland about four years ago. The funeral was attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends.
