Leon L. Moeller, 74

Leon L. Moeller, 74, of Grundy Center, died Thursday, Sept. 5, at his residence. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center, with Pastor Kent Leydens officiating. Burial followed in the Holland Cemetery in Holland. A memorial fund has been established.

Leon was born July 1, 1928, near Gladbrook, the son of Harry and Lydia (Hoeppner) Moeller. He graduated from Reinbeck High School in 1946. Leon worked for John Deere from 1946 until 1950. On January 6, 1950, Leon was united in marriage to Jvonne Franken at the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center. Leon and Jvonne moved to the family farm near Holland where Leon farmed until retiring in 1991 when the couple moved to Grundy Center. Leon was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center.

Survivors include his wife, Jvonne; two sons, James and his wife Deanna of Holland, and Jerry and his wife, Glenda Moeller of Holland; and five grandchildren, Bryan, Kevin, Michael, Lance, and Jennifer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepfather, William Fredricksen; a brother, Burdette; a sister, Charlene; and a grandchild.
