Services Held For Miss Sue Frerichs

Miss Sue Frerichs of Bristow, age 85, passed away at the Waverly Municipal Hospital on Sunday, February 12, where she had been for a few hours. She had spent 2 1/2 months at the Allison Care Center, Allison.

She was born March 28, 1898, in Grundy County to Mr. and Mrs. Harmanus Frerichs. She lived in Holland until her mother died and some time later moved to Bristow. There she retired. She had been associated with the General Store at Bristow until retirement.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bristow.

She is survived by a sister, Minnie (Mrs. J. Dirks); two brothers-in-law, John Dirks and John Boven; two nieces, Mrs. Alma June (Ed) Brower of Holland, Beulah Buus of Grundy Center; and three nephews, Rev. C. O. Buus of Tucson, AZ, Sidney Frerichs of Osage, and Mayo Tjaden of Wellsburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 14, at 1:30 p.m. at Vogel Funeral Home in Allison with Rev. Clarence Burns officiating. Mrs. James Willms sang selected numbers.
