Mrs. Meyer lived her entire life in the vicinity of Holland. She was baptised at an early age.

On February 28, 1894, she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Tonjes Meyer. This union was blessed by God with three daughters. Two foster children were also provided for in the Meyer home.

Mrs. Meyer was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Wellsburg and attended services faithfully up until July 1, 1958, when it became difficult for her to come to the house of God. She eagerly awaited and intently listened to the reading and exhortation of Scripture by the pastor at her home.

She leaves to mourn her departure three daughters, Mrs. Menno Venenga of Wellsburg, Mrs. Wilbur Rust and Mrs. Clarence Getting of Holland; two foster children, Mr. David Taffinder of Wellsburg and Mrs. Freda Kannegieter of Holland; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Meyer was preceded in death by her husband who died on July 10, 1951, one infant daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
