Services Tuesday For Fred Getting; Dies In Hospital

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the home and later in the Wellsburg Reformed church for Fred E. Getting, 62, who died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the Grundy County Memorial Hospital.

Burial was in the Holland cemetery.

Mr. Getting was rushed to the hospital several days before, suffering from heart condition. He remained in poor condition until his death.

He was born Aug. 4, 1892, near Holland and lived on farms in Colfax and Lincoln townships until he retired to Wellsburg.

Surviving are his widow, the former Anna Meyer; three sons, Clarence, Harvey and Virgil; and one daughter, Mrs. Ed Schoolman, all of Holland; on brother, Helmut, Parkersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Jurgen Lutterman, Wellsburg and Mrs. George Hook, Holland.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, his parents, five brothers and three sisters.
