The people of this locality were shocked last Wednesday evening when the sad news reached here that Mrs. Heit Peters had passed away at her home one mile west of Fern. She died from the effects of the flu having been sick about a week. She leaves to mourn her early demise her husband and five children all whom were down with the flu at the time of her death. Funeral services were held Monday at the Siemsen church.
