Funeral Services Wednesday For Mrs. Ontje Hook

Funeral services for Mrs. Ontje Hook were held at the Linneman church west of Fern last Wednesday afternoon. The services were conducted by the local pastor. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mrs. Hook's maiden name was Lena Walters. She was born in Germany in 1882 and came to this country and Grundy county with her parents when she was a year old. She was married to Ontje Hook March 13, 1891.

Surviving are the husband, seven sons and four daughters: Anna, Harm, Grace, Rudolph, Anno, Laura, Ben, Orvel, Vernon, Zella, Lawrence and one infant preceded her in death; four brothers, Eilert, Dick, Nan, of Wellsburg, and Harm of Buffalo Center; two sisters, Mrs. John Luchtenburg and Dora Walters of Aplington.

Mrs. Hook was borne to her last resting place by her six sons, Harm, Rudolph, Anno, Ben, Orvel and Vernon. The floral tributes were arranged by Mrs. Harold Engelkes.
