George Krull, 94

George Krull, of Grundy Center, passed away Friday, April 30, 1999 at Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center of natural causes, having attained the age of 94 years and five months.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 3 at 1:30 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Reformed Church of Holland with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Russell Muilenburg officiated. A memorial fund has been established.

George was born on November 30, 1904 in Cleves the son of John and Minnie (Abbas) Krull. On November 14, 1931 he was united in marriage to Anna Mae Meyer at the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church parsonage. George farmed in the Grundy County area his entire life.

George was a member of the Pleasant Valley Reformed Church of Holland. George loved to play his accordion.

Preceding George in death was his wife, Anna; his parents; daughter-in-law, Betty Krull; great-granddaughter, Meggie Morris; four brothers, Henry, John, Bud and Dagon; and a sister, Irene Dunn.

Survivors include a son Don and his wife Bonnie Krull of Cedar Falls; a daughter Neva and her husband Glen Hockemeyer of Holland; a son Roger and his wife Barbara Krull of Eldora; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Grace Trailer of California and Jane and her husband Red Holcomb of Eldora.

Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center was in charge of the arrangements.
