Obituary John Seehusen

John Seehusen passed away at his home in Parkersburg Wednesday evening, May 24, following an illness of a few months.

Mr. Seehusen was born Oct. 15, 1881, in Oloverfelt, Ostfriesland, Germany. He came to this country in 1901 at the age of 20 years. March 13, 1906, he was united in marriage to Dena Gelder at Wellsburg. Six children were born to them. Surviving are the widow, three daughters and three sons: Grace Reeverts, Hutchinson, Minn.; Bertha Henze, Dike; George, of Wellsburg; Dick, Parkersburg; John at Dike; and Annie at home. There are 9 grandchildren. Also three brothers, Rieke of Grundy Center, Gerd of Allison and Harm of Stewartville, Minn. The three sisters were Nanka, Rieksta and Sophia in Germany and one brother, Johannes, preceded his death.

Mr. Seehusen with his family always resided in Grundy county until last August when he and Mrs. Seehusen and Annie moved to Parkersburg. He reached the age of 62 years. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Reformed church and was buried in the church cemetery.
