Graveside Services For Carol Hook

Private graveside services were held Saturday for Miss Carol Hook, 37, daughter of Mrs. Johanna Hook and the late Barney Hook. She died of a heart attack Thursday at the state hospital in Woodward, following an extended illness.

Only immediate members of the family were present for the service at the Evangelical United Brethren church cemetery in Pleasant Valley township.

In addition to the mother, who resides in Grundy Center, those present were Mr. and Mrs. William Cone of Fort Dodge, Mrs. Esther Burt of Toledo, Ohio; Dr. and Mrs. Jerome Biebesheimer of Mason City, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hook of Davenport. Another brother, Paul, of Dallas, Texas, was on an overseas business trip at the time.

The extended cemetery rites were conducted by the Rev. E. E. Basye, pastor of the Methodist church, Grundy Center. The Engelkes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
