Matthew D. Diehm, 23

Matthew David Diehm, 23, of Reinbeck, died March 4, due to a snow removal accident at a private residence in rural Dike. Funeral services were March 8 at the United Methodist Church in Reinbeck. Burial was in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Reinbeck. A memorial fund is being established.

Born on December 31, 1979, Matt was the son of Roger and Mary (Fulkerson) Diehm. He grew up in Hudson and attended school there, graduating in 1998 from the Union-LaPorte City High School. Matt had worked at Reinbeck Auto Repair for several years and was recently employed as a mechanic at Todd's Repair in New Hartford.

Surviving are his mother; his father; a friend; two sisters; a brother; his maternal grandmothers; a step-brother; a step-sister; and his step-grandparents.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers; and a step-sister.
