Bonnie Hogan Services Held

Lois LaVahn "Bonnie" Hogan, 64, of Eldora, passed away Tuesday, April 26, at the Eldora Regional Medical Center of natural causes.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 29, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eldora. Burial followed in the Catholic Cemetery in Reinbeck.

A memorial fund has been established.

Bonnie was born on January 11, 1930, in Rockwell City, the daughter of Robert Curtis and Verna Hazel Krause Gregg. She graduated from Lake City High School in Lake City. On January 30, 1948, she was united in marriage to William Hogan in Lake City.

Bonnie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was very active in the church, also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Royal Neighbors of America.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband William on August 19, 1985; a son, Joseph in 1959; a brother, Walter Gregg in 1986; a sister, Phyllis Glasgrow in 1988; one great-granddaughter, Samantha; and her parents.

She is survived by 3 sons, Michael and his wife Nancy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Robert of Omaha, Nebraska, and John and wife Marlene of Des Moines; 4 daughters, Patricia Corp and husband Dale of Springdale, Arkansas, Mary Jean Hogan of San Pedro, California, Teresa Stalker and husband Bob of Des Moines and Toni Nederhoff and husband Scott of Steamboat Rock; 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
