Connie Eslinger Services Held

Funeral Mass for Mrs. Robert (Connie) M. Eslinger, 48, of Reinbeck was 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning, March 20, from the Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Reinbeck with Fr. J. M. Kissling officiating.

A memorial fund has been established.

Connie M. Eslinger died at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center Monday night, March 17, where she had been a patient since February 25. Her death was attributed to cancer.

Born October 15, 1948, at Marshalltown, Connie Marie Harvey, was the daughter of H. P. Harvey and Goldie Daniels Harvey. She received her education at the Marshalltown Community Schools and was a 1966 graduate of Marshalltown High School. She also received a diploma from Americana Beauty School in Des Moines in 1967.

On August 5, 1967, at Reinbeck, Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Connie was united in marriage to Mr. Robert J. Eslinger of Reinbeck. The couple lived in California for a few years, then Marshalltown, before moving to a farm northwest of Reinbeck.

She was a member of the Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, the Neighborhood Club. She spent most of her married life as a homemaker, loving wife, and mother. She worked at Park View Manor Nursing Home the past 8 years. She also loved to collect stuffed animal pigs, and ceramic pigs, and good with flowers.

She was preceded in death by her father, H. P. Harvey.

Survivors include her husband, Robert J.; 1 son, Dale Eslinger of Baxter; 1 daughter, Denise Lamfers of Grundy Center; 1 granddaughter, Heather Lamfers; mother, Goldie Harvey of Marshalltown; 2 sisters, Mary Jo Henze of Zearing and Jeanie Jackson of North Platte, Nebraska.
