Mae Cummings Services Held

Mae Margaret Cummings, 84, of Dike, died Wednesday, May 28, at the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center of natural causes.

Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Dike at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31. Burial was in the Stout Cemetery in Stout.

A memorial fund has been established.

Mae was born December 2, 1912, the daughter of Hilko and Emma Groen Arends in Grundy County. On January 28, 1941, she was united in marriage to Harold Cummings at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Mae is survived by her husband Harold of Dike; 1 daughter, Gayl Tiedeman and her husband Thomas of Branson, Missouri; and 2 grandchildren, Julie Rabe and Greg Hammond.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents; 1 daughter, Belva Joy; and 1 brother, Edward Arends.

Dike Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
