Rites Held For Marie Wildeboer

Marie Wildeboer of the Allison Care Center, Allison, and formerly of Stout, died Sunday, May 29, at the Allison Care Center from complications of her cancer illness. She reached the age of 91 years, 7 months and 22 days.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, in the Reformed Church of Stout with Rev. Virgil Dykstra officiating. Interment followed in the Stout Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bernard Kressley, Albert Thorne, David Thorne, Darrell Thorne, Mark Thorne and Ralph Hook.

Marie was born the daughter of Everett and Fannie Johnson Miller on October 7, 1902, in Grundy county, near Grundy Center. In 1918, Marie moved with her parents and family 1 1/2 miles east of Stout.

In September of 1959, Marie was united in marriage with Floyd Wildeboer. They lived east of Stout. After Floyd died in 1965, Marie became a resident of Lawn City Nursing Home in Cedar Falls. Later, on July 26, 1974, she moved to the Allison Care Center in Allison.

She was a member of the Reformed Church of Stout.

Marie is survived by 4 nieces, 4 nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, John Wildeboer; and 3 sisters, Lettie Miller, Kate Eckhoff and Pearl Kappers.

Schwartz Funeral Home in Parkersburg was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
