Services Held For Harry Andreessen

Harry E. Andreessen, 69, of Cedar Falls passed away Monday, September 30, 1985, at Schoitz Medical Center in Waterloo.

Funeral services were held at the Orchard Hill Reformed Church, Cedar Falls, on Friday, October 4, 1985, at 1 p.m. Reverend Ed Baker officiated.

Mrs. Janet Johnson and Mrs. Marcia Allspach sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Where the Roses Never Fade." They were accompanied by Greta Rosenberg.

The casket bearers were Jim Basye, Ryan Basye, Jamey Basye, Larry Bohlen, Jr., Lance Bohlen and Leslie Bohlen.

Interment was in the Stout Cemetery, Stout, IA.

Harry was born February 2, 1916, in Grundy Center, near Stout, IA, the son of Dan and Alice Eiklenborg Andreessen. He married Helen Franken October 8, 1940. They were later divorced.

Harry farmed in Grundy county until 1965. He worked at UNI custodial department until he retired in 1980.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis Andreessen, Cupertino, CA, and Dean Andreessen, Merced, CA; two daughters, Donna Bohlen, Washington, and Mary Basye, Hampton; fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Margaret Heeren, New Hartford, Mae Lindaman, Cedar Falls, Mildred Wilkens, Stout, and Erma Christiansen, Dike.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Harlan, one sister, Esther, and three brothers and sisters in infancy.
