Desiree Diekman Services Held

Desiree Diekman, infant daughter of Dennis and Sheila Wilkens Diekman of Springville, IA, formerly of Stout and Parkersburg, was born premature on December 10, 1984 in St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, IA.

Desiree died about 4 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 1984 at St. Luke's Hospital from lung failure.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 1985 at the Schwartz-Engelkes Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Rev. Steve Parker, Presbyterian Pastor from Springville, officiating. Interment was in the Stout Cemetery, at Stout.

She is survived by her parents; one sister, Crystal; one brother, Jeremy; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Wilkens of Stout; maternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Tisha Wilkens of Parkersburg; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jules Diekman of Parkersburg and paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Johanna Bodecker of Aplington.

Schwartz-Engelkes Funeral Home of Parkersburg was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
