Obituary Of Mrs. Calvin (Anna) Clauson

Mrs. Anna Clauson, age 76, died Wed., Jan. 28, 1976 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center where she had been a patient since December 28, 1975. Mrs. Clauson suffered a stroke in September and had been a resident of the Beverly Manor in Grundy Center from then until she was admitted into the hospital.

Anna Wilhelmina Dilger was born the daughter of Theodore and Magdalene Wilkins Dilger, Nov. 28, 1899 in Beaver Township in Grundy Co. She married Calvin J. Clauson on February 18, 1931 in Aplington. They made their home on a farm for six years in Beaver township, then farmed NW of Dike for 26 years, and in February of 1963 they moved to their present home in Stout. She was a lifelong resident of Grundy County. Mrs. Clauson has been an active member of the Reformed Church of Stout for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin; a son, Donald of Spirit Lake; three grandchildren: David, Judith, and Kathleen Clauson; and a sister, Elizabeth, Mrs. John DeBeer of Stout. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harvey Dilger.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Sat., Jan. 31, 1976 at the Reformed Church of Stout with Rev. Paul H. Tanis officiating. Mrs. Andrew Nielsen sang "Does Jesus Care" and "Precious Lord, Take My Hand" and Mrs. Bernard Schnell was the organist. Casketbearers were John Konken, Samuel Schmitt, Harold Rademaker, Paul Aswegan, Roger Bergman, and Harvey Eiklenborg. Burial was in the Stout Cemetery. The Engelkes Funeral Home in Parkersburg was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
