Mrs. Dena Eiklenborg Died Thursday

Mrs. Dena Eiklenborg, who was hospitalized for four weeks at the Sartori hospital in Cedar Falls, passed away on Thursday noon, Oct. 18th at the age of 73 years, seven months and eight days.

Funeral services were held Monday. Burial was in the Stout cemetery.

Mrs. Dena Eiklenborg was born on March 8, 1900 in Lincoln township, Grundy county.

Her parents were Jurgen Bruns and Kathryn Marks Bruns. She was married to Fritz Eiklenborg on December 18, 1919. The Eiklenborg family farmed most of their married life in Grundy Co. before retiring to their home in Stout nine years ago.

She was a member of the Reformed Church of Stout.

She is survived by her husband, Fritz and two sons, Frank of Parkersburg and Elmer of Dike; four grandchildren and one great-grandson; two brothers, Fred Bruns of Stout and John Bruns of Alden; one sister, Bertha (Mrs. Casper Nieman) of Clear Lake, S. Dak.

Mrs. Eiklenborg was preceded in death by her parents, two infant sons, two infant daughters, three brothers and two sisters.
