Services Tuesday For Mrs. Jacob Clauson

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the Reformed church in Stout for Mrs. Jacob Clauson, who died Saturday forenoon at Reiners nursing home at Dumont. The services were conducted by Rev. A. Roskamp. Burial was in the cemetery at Stout.

Mrs. Clauson fell at her home in Stout a month ago and suffered a broken bone, after which she was taken to the nursing home. She suffered a stroke there from which she was not able to recover. The body was brought to the Engelkes Funeral Home at Parkersburg where it was prepared for burial.

Mrs. Clauson was 81 years old last July. She was born at Newton, Wisconsin. She was a daughter of Rev. and Mrs. G. Zindler. She was married to Jacob Clauson at Peoria, Ill., on Nov. 5th, 1903. The couple resided at Peoria a few years, after which they moved to a farm near Aplington. A number of years later they moved to a farm in Beaver twp. They left the farm in 1937 and moved to the town of Stout where they since resided.

Surviving are the husband and one son, Calvin, from Dike. There is one grandson, Donald Clauson. Other surviving relatives are two sisters, Mrs. Etta Lindeman and Miss Nellie Zindler, both of Aplington.

Donald Clauson, who was here with his wife at the time his grandmother, Mrs. Dilger, was buried, could not remain for the service of his other grandmother, Mrs. Clauson, as he is serving in the army.
