Harm Rademaker, Stout Elevator Manager, Is Dead

Harm R. Rademaker, 56, manager of the elevator at Stout for a number of years, was buried Monday afternoon in the Stout cemetery.

Services were held at 1:15 p.m. in the home and later in the Stout Reformed church.

Mr. Rademaker died at 4 a.m. Friday in St. Luke's Hospital at Cedar Rapids of a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been a patient there for 10 days prior to his death.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Rademaker, he was born Sept. 5, 1898, in Lyon county, where his parents were farming at the time. The family then moved to Grundy county and settled on a farm a mile east of Fern, where he grew to manhood.

He and Dena Miller were united in marriage on February 10, 1920, in the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Koert Miller.

Mr. Rademaker joined the Stout elevator organization, owned by K. W. Brandt, many years ago.

Survivors include the widow; 3 children: Mrs. William Bergman of Stout, Mrs. Harvey Buskohl of Holland, and Harold Rademaker, Stout; four grandchildren; and his father, who has been a patient at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital the past seven weeks.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. O. J. Engelkes of Fern and Mrs. Henry B. Engelkes, Grundy Center, and a brother, Joe Rademaker, Holland.
