Conrad Weber Sr. Died Thursday

Conrad Weber, who had been a resident of Grundy county about 60 years, died at his home one and a half miles east of Stout last Thursday.

Death resulted from a second stroke which came shortly before his death. He suffered the first stroke about 4 years ago.

Conrad Weber was born in Germany. He came to this country as a young man and was employed on farms in northeast Grundy county until after he was married when he took up farming on his own account.

His first wife died in 1923. About a year later he married Gerta Spree on December 20, 1924. They continued to live on the same farm in Beaver township.

Surviving are the wife, four sons and two daughters. The sons are John, Conrad Jr., Edward and Roy, all of them residents of the same neighborhood; the daughters are Mrs. Richard Stickfort, Stout, and Mrs. Millie Saul, Allison. There are 16 grandchildren. One brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services were at the home at one o'clock on Monday and later at the Gospel Hall in Stout with Oliver Smith officiating. Burial was in the cemetery at Stout.
