Dorothy Pearl Janssen, 76, of Ackley, died Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Presbyterian Village, Ackley.

She was born June 24, 1929, in rural Butler County, daughter of Dick and Caroline Kriemeyer Ackerman. She married Virgil H. Janssen Jan. 16, 1948, at the Washington Reformed Church Parsonage. He preceded her in death.

She graduated from Ackley High School in 1947 and had worked in the office and activities at the Presbyterian Village.

Survived by: a son, Russell (Eileen) of Ackley; two granddaughters; a brother, Kenneth (Sis) Ackerman of Ackley; and a sister, Darlene Ulfers of Ackley.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Robert Ackerman; and a half brother, Bert Garrels.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday at West Friesland Presbyterian Church, rural Ackley, with burial in the church cemetery.
