Henry Marlyn Duhn, 77, of Aplington, died August 24 at Allen Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were August 27 at West Friesland Presbyterian Church, rural Ackley. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Henry was born the son of Cornelius and Hattie (Baker) Duhn on January 7, 1925. He received his education from the Aplington School. On July 19, 1946, Henry was united in marriage with Dorothy DeVries. They made their home near Austinville where he was a hired hand for Albert Penning. In 1954 he rented a farm north of Austinville until 1964 then bought a farm northeast of Aplington and retired in 1990.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter; his parents; his step-mother; and three brothers.

Henry is survived by his wife; four daughters; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister; and one sister-in-law, Angeline Duhn of Wellsburg.
