Mrs. Van Horn Dead

Mrs. Ontje Van Horn, nee Riekena, died at her home four miles north west of Wellsburg on Monday, Dec. 26, 1916, after a few days' illness.

The deceased was born in Larrelt, Ostfriesland, on June 18, 1834, and in October, 1865, came with her husband and parents to Grundy county, where she has made her home ever since.

Her husband, Eilert Van Horn, died in 1891. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. R. Ludwig, of German Valley, Ill., and three brothers, J. W., B. W., and E. W. Rienkena, and a large number of nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held at the Hoefker church Saturday.--Wellsburg Herald
