Funeral Thursday For Mrs. Eekhoff At First Christian

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the home and later at the First Christian Reformed church for Mrs. Peter P. Eekhoff, 66, who died the Monday before in the Eldora Memorial hospital after a lingering illness.

Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Bernard Visscher was in charge of the service.

Casketbearers were Marlin Harms, Menno Bakker, Gratus Geerdes, Chris Christians, George Primus and Dick Freese. Music was furnished by the men's quartet of the church.

Obituary
Jennie Siemens daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Siemens, was born June 2, 1890, at New Holland, So. Dakota. She was united in marriage to Peter P. Eekhoff on Jan. 3, 1914 and they made their home in the Wellsburg area for the next 43 years.

Mrs. Eekhoff was a faithful member of the First Christian Reformed Church, and a sincere child of God.

She is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. J. C. Siemens of Goldfield, Ia., a son, Edward, of Eldora, and two daughters, Elizabeth, at home, and Pauline, Mrs. Anco Baker of Kanawha.

Other survivors include one sister, Margrete Siemens of White Plains, N.Y., four brothers, Dr. W. J. Siemens of Dungeness Bay, Wash., Ben Siemens of Glendale, Calif., Bert and M. J. Siemens of Goldfield, also eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.
