The twelve-year-old son of Jacob Holder, a German who recently came from the old country and rented the Guernsey farm about eight miles west of Cedar Falls, was accidentally hanged while attempted to put up a swing last Friday. The boy from birth had not had the use of his left arm, and it is supposed that he slipped from the ladder and caught his head in a loop of the rope for in this position he was found, dead. No one was near when the accident occurred, and no one will ever know just how it happened.
