Ann Clark Services Held
Ann Clark, of Des Moines, formerly of Grundy Center, passed away on Friday, November 20, 1998, at the Osceola Nursing and Rehab Center in Osceola of natural causes. She attained the age of 87 years, 1 month and 2 days.
Graveside services were held on Monday, November 23, at 10:30 a.m. at the Fairview in Grundy Center. Pastor Dean Kelly officiated. A memorial fund has been established.
Ann was born on October 18, 1911, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Louis and Frances (Bury) Golusky. She was united in marriage to Lucius Clark September 4, 1935, in Northfield, Minnesota. The couple moved to Des Moines and in 1936 they moved to Waterloo where they owned and operated a grocery store. In 1948, they moved to Grundy Center where Ann worked for Clark Maid Rite, the Grundy Food market and she then took care of John and Winifred Clark. In 1968, Ann moved to Des Moines where she worked for Wolf's Department Store.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 6 brothers; and 1 sister.
Survivors include 2 sons, L. Paul and his wife Connie of Chesterland, Ohio, and James D. and his wife Johneen of Olathe, Kansas; a daughter, Mary Ann Zeller of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ed and his wife Gert Golusky of Golden Valley, Minnesota.
Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center was in charge of the arrangements.
