Miss Fern Gray, 81, of Friendship Village, died there at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday of complications incident to her age.

She was born in Honeywood, Ontario, Canada, on Dec. 21, 1891, the daughter of Robert and Lucy Dickey Gray. She graduated from Coe college, Cedar Rapids, and from Gates Business College, and then taught business education at West High School until her retirement in 1955. She was a member of Westminster United Presbyterian Church and a 50-year member of Waterloo Chapter 128 Order of the Eastern Star.

Her only survivors are two cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Locke Funeral Home, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday.

Miss Fern Gray

Funeral services for Miss Fern Gray, 81, of Friendship Village, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Locke Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wayne M. Hoffman, pastor of Westminster United Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Grundy Center cemetery.

Miss Gray died at Friendship Village at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday of complications of age.
